    Hey,

So i know the severs start automaticly record demos under the servers name and everytime i rejoin it refreshes automaticly. And now about half a year or so it stoped refreshing i just noticed today cause i wanted to appeal for a ban and obviously i can't now.Is it something i need to do to fix it just in case i need it in the future ?

    Thanks

Ye i know where to find the saved demos its just that it does not record new demos for example if i join UGC D2 it will start a demo under the name ugc_dust2only2.dem ,then if i disconnect and rejoin it suppose to start a new demo under the same name .So everytime the recording it's going to be your last game. For a reason which i don't know (thats why i am asking here) that is not happening to me .

    It happens this way only....
If u want to save your previous demo and record new ones on the same server, just make sure u rename your demo to some sensible name (some name by which UGC demos are not recorded) before rejoining the server.
You can create a folder and save your important demos there.
You can also record a custom demo within the game, by typing 'record demo_name' in console and replacing demo_name with any name u want.

    He said:
(1st joined) his CS starts recording demo. Get killed. "RETRY"
(2nd/retry joined) his CS DID NOT start recording. (still the 1st joined demo)

I'm guessing this could be the 'retry' thingy which almost all players loves to use after getting killed instantly.
1st of all, what version cs u r using?
2nd what is your current ping or r u lagging?

Yes run the demo (viewdemo, playdemo ) on cs and it wasn't my last game . Btw i posting here to see if u know any better solution than reinstalling the cs cause its a pain to set like i have it now again.(i mean settings etc..)

Could it be your folder has set to 'read only' ? It could be not permitting your cs to write files.
I do hope your hdd have sufficient space.

Before reinstalling your cs/steam, you can copy your config file somewhere else.
And ugc has plenty of guides available for you just in case you lost your setups.

Good luck and do let us know if your problem has solved.
    Anyone has any other ideas?

I can't even see the ugc_dust2only.dem file in your cstrike folder? You did say you were playing on "AWP On" so I think you mean dust2 #1, not dust2x2? You have highlighted the dust2x2 demo, which isn't the same.

Could it be that your newer demos are now being saved into some new location, BUT the demos are still being read from the cstrike folder first when using viewdemo? So basically new demos are written to a new location --> old demos in the cstrike folder do not get overwritten. When using "viewdemo" cs searches your cstrike folder first and finds the old demo, not the new one.

Did you really check all the locations DaMi and Mr.X mentioned? Have you tried searching your hard drive for the new demos? Your latest completely new demo is from July. If you manually record a new demo with a unique name does it appear in your cstrike folder? If there is a ugc_dust2only.dem in your cstrike folder when was it last modified?

Sorry if this is all obvious stuff you have already tried but your posts kinda made me doubtful.

    Hello! :Hi:
I regret your situation, I explain, many times this happens not only by the protocol but by the operating system ... Sometimes when your Windows is 64bit or some when it is 32bit, you can indifferently find them, try these guides
I think you can have them hidden, it's not the first time this happens to someone.

Any questions can be communicated by PM with me to see how we can solve your problem.
I hope that is very useful and solutions.

    Good luck.

when you uninstall from steam window it does not delete all files, have you considered deleting the folder itself from steam, the entire half life folder?

So guys if that happens again the easiest way is to unistall/install counter strike (at least worked for me), cause all the other solutions was a waste of time .Anyway thanks for the help .
