Context:
I was recently in a UGC trade server while on call with one of my friends who will not be named. We were having a nice time until suddenly, she was banned for spawncamping (1 hour). I was not able to see this first hand, but we noticed that she wasn't warned -at least, that's what we thought!- After writing and submitting an appeal, I get a message on discord from the staff member who banned her (who also will not be named). In this message, there was one detail that completely invalidated the appeal that was submitted, A trimmed picture depicting an in-game chat message from the aforementioned staff member; a warning. After confirming that the warning was issued before the hour long ban, I informed my friend that it wasn't a false ban, and that now you just gotta wait an hour...

Suggestion:
I was thinking that since neither of us even noticed the warning at all until it was pointed out to us in an isolated picture, that Staff should use csay* or a kick as the warning, rather than using voice or text chat. (especially since players can disable both of them and never see the warning at all) As a secondary suggestion... I suggest to revise or add a note to the Punishment Guidelines stating specifically that the warnings should be issued using csay or through a kick with the reason as the warning.

*The term csay was used by a staff member I was conversing with, which I assume to be the customizable text near the top of the screen that an staff member can place.

I agree that there should be a warning system. Whether that's using the announcement system or private chat system the admins use for a single player, it's good to implement it. My friends, and even I have gotten mixed statements from admins based on what we're doing in a server. Unfortunately right now it's by choice of an admin whether they're nice or not to give out warnings. Good suggestion, but I don't see it going through because of stingy-ness of some admins I've experienced.

There is a system with the punishment guides that use warnings actually, however those warnings could be single-line chat messages at the moment. Although some offenses don't use such warnings at all, such as cheating. They can remain the same with this suggestion as the warnings are not issued in those situations.

(^Apologies for above, forgot to reply to this user directly, rather than reply to the suggestion post itself)

Staff members can use any announcement or communication method they choose. In the end the player would have received a warning. Kick is a form of verbal warning. If the player does not see this verbal warning and they persist to break a rule they will be punished.
