Have you donated?No
Are you familiar with the rules/ban-times?Yes
Your reason for applying?I take great satisfaction in being a contributing member of this community and I am gratified by helping others. Being an old hat (pun intended) and former admin of Australian servers (2012-2014) I have extensive in-game and IRL experience and a keen eye for trouble. As a reasonable and level-headed individual I am well placed to provide advice, shine light on the good, weed-out the bad and swiftly bring the ban hammer down onto those who threaten the integrity of UGC and it's community.
Your vision?Growth of the UGC community and of the wider TF2 playerbase through consistent positive interactions and meaningful relationships, and protection of the vulnerable from an increasing numbers of trolls and undesirables.
Will you be able to respond to call-admin reports?Yes
In which servers do you play mostly?Dustbowl and Goldrush when there's enough people
Introduce yourselfbigbrainbonobo aka paul, I work in software, I enjoy endurance sports and cooking, and I own 37yo Honda single cyclinder motorbike on which I plan to ride around Europe.
I moved to London from Sydney in 2020 and I have been a member of the TF community for around 25 years. I started playing TFC on the won.net servers before Steam was released - I was very young but the community was small, tight-knit and wholesome. They took me in, taught me how to play and inadvertently showed that you can build meaningful communities and friendships online through a shared passion for a game. We had just enough people to fill a single server on a Friday evening and we played Dustbowl, 2fort, Well and Casbah, and everyone knew each other. Fast forward 20 years and whilst alot has changed, fundamentally things have stayed the same - the community is (mostly) still welcoming and wholesome and the most popular maps are still 2fort and Dustbowl!
